Finishing the Mines and Factory worlds and working on the boss levels

Content creation is much like a treadmil over a laser pit ;P

Development of The Shadow Runner is almost finished

I've been working on The Shadow Runner for over 2 years now, and the idea of the game being "finished" is rapidly becoming reality. As terrified as I am of that idea,  I'm excited for people to finally be able to play this game I've been working on for so long, and until then, I'm excited to log the progress I've made in the past few months regarding the Mines and Factory worlds.

Level design is no more!

I have finished designing every level in the three bonus worlds. Here's screenshots of what the level select menu looks like with every level completed without taking any damage (except Factory 8, since it's the hardest level in the game, but I know it CAN be beaten without getting hit)

Boss design has begun

As for the boss levels, the Powerplant boss was already in the demo, but the Mines and Factory bosses are yet to be made. The Factory boss is almost complete, since I've always had a clear idea of what it would look, but the Mines boss isn't as clear. All I know is that I want an unstable arena and a chaotic boss to fit the "insanity" theme of the Mines (the name of the tracks that play during the Mines are "Chipping Away At Your Sanity (Mines)" and "Temporary Insanity (Mines Boss)").

Here are some screenshots of the progress I've made developing the Mines boss arena and the Factory bosse:

What to expect for the future of TSR

As for what I will do over the next month/s, I will be finalising the worlds, their levels, and their bosses. Once I do that, I will smooth out the menus, polish some of the visuals, and finalise the game before preparing to release the full version.

Yes, I expect to be able to release the full game by the end of the year, and finish development by the end of November D:
