Hex-a-Decimal
A downloadable game for Windows
Hex-a-Decimal is a challenging puzzle game with a hexagon grid. Originally created for a game jam and inspired by open-ended problem solvers like SpaceChem, Hex-a-Decimal has been thoroughly playtested and refined for the past few months, with new versions being released as the game improves.
Puzzles in Hex-a-Decimal are solved by setting up lines of signal conveyors, pausers, splitters, and rotators to create satisfying chain reactions. Stuck on a level? Your progress will be saved even if you don’t solve the puzzle, so feel free to take a break and come back anytime. With 50 challenging levels and a built-in level editor, you can keep your mind busy for days!
The early levels are designed to ease you into the game, the middle third of the game adds more complex mechanics and interactions, and the hardest levels are mind-splitting in their difficulty to truly put your knowledge to the test. All levels are unlocked from the start, and you can track your progress on the level select screen.
If you wish to play the original game jam submission, download version 0, otherwise I'd recommend downloading the most recent version.
